Why Kaizen?

The graph above shows an average of improvements and reductions by type of KPIs among Kaizen Institute clients in US (1993 – 1995). The figures in the graph shows the reductions. The average of the reductions among those 14 KPIs is over 50%. Especially the Cost quality rejects reduction ratio is -95%.

Kaizen can achieve those improvements with relatively smaller costs than making the Innovations. Kaizen exploits the autonomous individuals that the organization intrinsically had. refer below.

Two different approaches to be successful

There are two ways to build the core competence for your comppany. The first one is the innovation. It need the high cost cutting edge technology and investment. The other is the Kaizen using commonsense, check list, and low cost technique. Start from the top of the organization, including all members of the organization and work together for continuous improvement. Then you will find out the company is sooner or later the world level of the organization.
